This is a very interesting, revealing chart. I recall in the 1970’s, the prevailing thought was that the earth was cooling due to the rising CO2 content of the atmosphere blocking solar radiation to the earth’s surface, and the chart indeed shows that the sea was cooling at that time, before turning around in the late 70s.
I love these charts, just can’t get enough!
