Train your eye on the left half of the chart (the right side is meaningless unless governments will be more successful at "mandating" resources than, say, Venezuela or Zimbabwe).
By and large the dependency ratio will double in the next couple of decades. Pension, but also health care is affected. If you doubt your country will be able to double expenses in those two areas it is time to start working on plan B...
This is one of the few times i feel happy over my health issues.
Thanks to diabetes and thyroid issues I expect to conk off sometime in my late 60s.
So pension shortfall issues will never trouble me :)
That's a patriotic attitude as well. Live wildly, die quick and no more burden on society.
