Treating pilots better and recognising their trade unions are also some of the steps that may make the face of Ryanair and other airlines more acceptable to customers who don't like the sense of flying on an exploitative airline such as found among the "feeder airlines", which pay pilots ridiculously low wages for flying from hubs to outlying cities. Lots of these pilots earn less than drivers of US school buses!
